mt hood 2 after One of our shop regulars, Cody Cullen, headed west this summer to High Cascade Snowboard Camp  and wrote about his days in Oregon for us. Looking at the map of this place how could you not want to go play & push yourself...

"My experience snowboarding in Portland, Oregon was fantastic. High cascade snowboard camp is one of the best places to go in the summer and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff are amazing and the lodging and activities are fun when you are not snowboarding. And there demo shop is awesome. You get to demo any of the new gear for the next year that you want. You can even demo new things everyday.

The camp is located within a small little town that has a lot to do. High cascade has there own skate park which includes a huge bowls section. They also have two tramps for learning new stuff and a foam pit with a skate ramp into it. But the riding was hands down the best part. The mountain itself is a sight to see. It is a massive mountain that sits above the clouds. Above you, you can see ice caves and crevasses. The view from the mountain is great, one of the best views around. The terrain park is one of the best I have ridden. They have some of the most interesting set ups around. As they can focus only on snowboarders. Their jumps and rails are perfectly set up and fun to ride.

Every feature is different and the park can keep you interested for days. They have a tow rope which makes for quick runs all day making the most out each day on the mountain. They have an air bag to learn new stuff on. The staff keeps you learning new things the whole time you are there. Over all I would recommend a trip to High Cascade Snowboard Camp to anyone who is looking to have a ton of fun and learn a lot of new snowboard tricks."  - Cody Cullen
